libjuniversalchardet-java software package provides Encoding detector library (Java port of the Mozilla library), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjuniversalchardet-java
libjuniversalchardet-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjuniversalchardet-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjuniversalchardet-java *
You will get with libjuniversalchardet-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
